“Experience about social welfare”, a one-day-only event to learn about the work of caregivers.

◾︎G.G Cafe

A one-day-only cafe will be opening offering 11 desserts made with seasonal Onomichi ingredients, developed jointly by students from Onomichi Welfare College and the U2 Patisserie team, for the elderly. Using Onomichi’s signature ingredients, such as citrus fruits, peaches, and figs, the desserts are refreshing and easy to eat even in the hot summer, and even a small portion is highly nutritious. G.G (Grand Generation) is a coined term for people who actively and proactively enjoy their second life.

▼Examples of desserts

・Parfait Peach Melba – An adult parfait made with plenty of Onomichi peaches and a touch of Earl Grey

・Dried fruit yokan – Two types of yokan, including cranberries soaked in rum, figs, and walnuts

・Cat Monaka – A cat-shaped monaka sandwich made with four layers of lemon cream, matcha rice flour, red beans, and fresh cream

・Amber sugar ₋ Original amber sugar developed over many years using green lemons and lemon peels, with a focus on texture

We also offer roasted green tea panna cotta, lemon canelé, and coffee jelly topped with homemade milk ice cream.

In addition to the cafe, there are other things that can be enjoyed by everyone from young people to the Grand Generation, such as the Onozania nursing care worker work experience and the latest welfare equipment corner. See, learn, and enjoy. Feel free to take a look at the work of the craftsmen.
